BIOGRAPHY


Kasumi Komine professionally known as LiLi from the Japan based popular girls group, Tokyo Dreamgirl, was born in Aichi, Japan on July 1, 1982.

 

At age 3 LiLi and her family moved to Tokyo, Japan to Tachikawa city.

 

At the age of 14 Lili began pursuing her career as a performer. From a very young age she also studied very hard to learn English.

 

At the age of  18 she studied voice and dance at the Tokyo School of Music (TSM), in Nishi Kasai.

 

LiLi made her professional debut as a recording artist on May 22, 2020 from LINE RECORDS. Her first single “Invisible” featured Grammy award winner, Fatman Scoop and reality TV star, turned rap diva, DreamDoll. The song made it all the way to #2 on the US iTunes Dance Chart.

 

Her second single titled Sushi was released on July 16, 2021. This song was her first release from Amada Records which is her current record label.

 

Back in early 2021 when Amada signed her to a million dollar recording contract ErIc Jones, CEO of Amada had this to say, “We get thousands of demo submissions every week and we have never come across anyone like her. She just has that magic combination of beauty, talent, and originality that real stars are made of”

 

LiLi is the first Japanese artist signed to the USA based Amada label.

 

The song “Sushi” which peaked at #11 on the Billboard World Digital Sales chart is a mixture of Japanese and English Hip Hop and R&B, and is one of the four songs that appear on her four song

EP entitled Tokyo Dreamgirl.

 

The Tokyo Dreamgirl four song EP which was released on September 10, 2021 made it all the way to #1 on the iTunes World chart, making it her first career #1. The Tokyo Dreamgirl EP consists of the songs  Eternal Night, Invisible, Sushi, and My Friend.

 

In November of 2021 LiLi releases her third single titled "Take Your Time" , featuring the legendary hip hop duo Nice and Smooth, who are best known for their 90's hip hop classics "Sometimes I Rhyme Slow" and "Hip Hop Junkies". This song was released as a special project from SOUNDALLY, which is a new Japan based music distribution and streaming platform.

 

From Japan to the world, LiLi is bringing her very own style and finesse to the global music scene.
